Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us about a destination wedding, a holiday villa or the care of your home in Le Marche, why we need it, who sees it and how long we keep it. We collect only what we need to answer you and look after your stay, and we never sell your data.
1Who we are
The data controller for this website and for the enquiries you send us is:
iN PropertyStyle
Email: info@inpropertystyle.com
iN PropertyStyle provides property management and property liaison services for villas in Le Marche. We are not an agency or intermediary and we do not collect rental payments on behalf of owners. Each villa owner is a separate data controller for the data they receive to manage your booking and stay.
2What data we collect
We only collect data you choose to give us, mainly when you write to us by email, through the contact form or on WhatsApp:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, country of residence.
- Enquiry details: preferred dates, number of guests, type of event or stay, budget range and any preferences you share with us.
- Booking details, if you go ahead: the names of guests staying at the property and the identity document data that Italian law requires us or the owner to register with the authorities.
- Owner details, if you are a homeowner we assist: contact details, property address, and the information needed to deal with utilities, insurance, tradespeople and local paperwork.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs (IP address, browser type, date and time of the visit) for security purposes.
- Visit statistics: anonymous, aggregate data on pages visited, time spent on the site, country and device type, collected without cookies and with a shortened IP address, so you cannot be identified.
Please do not send us sensitive information (for example health details) unless it is needed for your stay, such as accessibility requirements. If you do, we will use it only for that purpose.
3Why we use it
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR art. 6) |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and sending you information or a quote | Steps taken at your request before a contract — art. 6(1)(b) |
| Preparing the pro forma contract and organising your stay or wedding with the owner and local suppliers | Performance of a contract — art. 6(1)(b) |
| Registering guests with the police (Alloggiati Web) and tourist tax or statistics obligations | Legal obligation — art. 6(1)(c) |
| Managing a property on behalf of its owner | Performance of a contract — art. 6(1)(b) |
| Keeping the website secure and defending legal claims | Legitimate interest — art. 6(1)(f) |
| Measuring visits to the website with anonymous statistics, without cookies | Legitimate interest — art. 6(1)(f) |
| Sending occasional news about our villas, only if you ask for it | Consent — art. 6(1)(a), which you can withdraw at any time |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
5Transfers outside the EU
Our data is stored in the European Union. Some villa owners live outside the EU, for example in the United Kingdom. When we send an owner your enquiry, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (as for the UK) or, otherwise, on the fact that it is necessary to arrange the stay you asked for (GDPR art. 49(1)(b)). If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies.
6How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months, so we can answer if you come back to us.
- Contracts and booking records: 10 years, as required by Italian civil and tax law.
- Guest registration data: only as long as the law requires.
- Server logs: a few months, unless needed to investigate a security problem.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
- Newsletter consent: until you unsubscribe.
8Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, unless we must keep it by law;
- limit how we use it, or object to its use based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent, without affecting what we did before.
Write to info@inpropertystyle.com and we will reply within one month. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
9Security
We keep your data in password-protected accounts with trusted European providers and share it only with the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
